First Day in Cognizant technology solutions,chennai

Hello Friends,

    Obviously I am sharing my experience of first day in cognizant because I know how curious freshers are to get the date of joining and have a overview about what actually will be our corporate life when you migrate from college life to company life ;) ;)

    10th July 2012 I completed my Graduation from Sinhgad Institues and was eagerly waiting for my joining in CTS And finally on 14 September 2012  I received my date intimation letter from CTS HR team and I was felt very glad that my waiting has ended atlast and on the contrary I was very upset that I was the only one from my college who got the joining and suddenly my mind starting dreaming of starting again with making new friends ;) ;) ;) I got my reporting time at 7am on 21 September, as the time span was very less so i started preparing with my formals shopping,etc ;) ;) And yes my location was CHENNAI, all of them around me starting giving their comments on chennai, how the place is and most important i have to live like an illiterate because chennai is place of tamil language and language barrier will make my enjoyment less and I felt very nervous about it :D :D :D

    Finally the first day 21st I reported in company at MEPZ,tambaram branch, as soon as I looked towards my company's infrastructure my family members felt very proud and tap my back good job dear you will work in this company which seems more than a five star hotel ;) ;) I was very happy to hear from them :) :)

The first day was about HR induction program and giving us the knowledge of company policies and their rules and regulation and signing n number of forms. I felt really i grown up ;) ;) 

    As the HR team started the program they signified how friendly and helpful the company people's are, And they proved really cognizant is fun learning organisation,  I felt very satisfied when one of the HR team member conveyed the "WELCOME TO COGNIZANT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS GUYS WHERE SUCCESS IS CELEBRATED AND FAILURES ARE WELCOMED" My mind blinked Oh Thank God i am at right place ;) ;) I got my domain and training center at end of the day and finally now I am taking training in Cognizant Academy where really we have fun learning. Everything had changed in a week including my sleeping timing ;) ;) It was a feeling of feeling a responsible person :) :) 

   Hope you like my experience of first day joining a corporate world :) :) Hope it will help those guys who are still waiting for their joining and yes I hope you will get join soon and come up with bright colours ahead.

HR cum Technical interview for Fresher

Fresher:  good evening sir, may i have a seat
HR:  Yes, sure
HR:  So Fresher(Name) tell me something about yourself
Fresher:  Sir as you you are familiar with my name I am Fresher(Name) , I am basically from solapur. I have          participated in many extra-curricular activities right from school time. Academically, I've done well considering that I got above 85% both in 10th and 12th. Since then I have been inclined towards programming. (And said about my family background) (said about my strengths and achievements).
HR:  Well Fresher(Name) which branch are you from?
Fresher:  IT
HR:  So as in your resume you have learnt about dot net, So can you tell me what is difference between JAVA and dot net?
Fresher:  Sure sir :) followed with 2-3 differences :)
HR:  So you are much talking about classes and objects. Suppose i give you a chess board how will you design or differenciate that board with classes and objects.
Fresher:  Said the overview about use of classes and objects used, explained it with the use of object oriented concepts like inheritance,polymorphism,abstraction, etc :)
HR:  Great :) So are you familiar with DBMS concepts?
Fresher:  yes sir :)
HR:  Do you know about joints?
Fresher:  yes sir i have learnt it but now i am not able to memorize it
HR: :) ok then you have done with queries?
Fresher:  yes sir :)
HR:  (Gave me a problem and made me to write the query of it.)
Fresher:  done :)
HR:  Can you tell me the significance of using JAVA?
Fresher:  Said all the JAVA concept different from other languages..
HR:  Can you write the code of bubble sort?
Fresher:  written
HR:  Explain it with passes and iterations?
Fresher:  Explained confidently :)
HR:  Write a code for swapping using pointers?
Fresher:  written :)
HR:  explain what if, if you don't use pointers in swapping code?
Fresher:  explained the concept of pass by value and pass by reference :)
HR: Can you explain the software development cycle?
Fresher: :) Started with requirement, then design, programming followed by testing then finally deployment.
        Explained V-model, spiral model (this was impressive)
HR:  So do you have any problem in relocation?
Fresher:  No sir  as travelling is one of my hobby so i don't mind for relocation:)
HR:  Fresher(Name) I am done :) Do you any questions to ask me?
Fresher:  Sir, where will i see myself in our company after 5 years?
HR: well Fresher(Name), it completely depends on your performance and maintaining of relationship with your colleagues (explained much more)
Fresher: Thank you sir :)
HR:  I am done :)
Fresher:  Nice meeting you sir :)
HR:  :) :)
Fresher:  :) :)
